True Blue is a 33’ Ranger Sloop. Made 1976, has a 9’ beam, 5.5’ draft, and a 50ft mast. Sails easy and fast. She has an Atomic 4 gas inboard engine. Engine has recently had the alternator, fuel pump, and spark plugs replaced, and the ignition and blower rewired. Automatic bilge pump was just replaced as well.
Boat electronics (cabin fans and lights, chart plotter and raymarine autopilot, water pressure and refrigeration, and ignition) all run on the solar panel set above the cockpit. 400 watts and a lot of the solar wire connections have been replaced since last summer. Has 3 house batteries and a start battery that were bought in the summer of 2021.
Cabin consists of a galley with propane stove and oven, sink with adjustable faucet, two storage shelves, a bilge for dry goods, and a fridge and freezer installed by a previous owner. Nav Station includes an older generation chart plotter that works beautifully. Two shelves and a liftable desk for storage.
Behind the nav station is a twin bed shaped storage area that runs under the cockpit. You could get a mattress for an extra sleeping area but right now it stores two extra sails for True Blue.
Saloon includes a L shaped bench and a long settee. Closet has 4 shelves for tons of storage.
In the bathroom there’s an electric head that needs rewiring. Sink has an adjustable faucet you can use as a shower head.
V-berth bed with a custom made mattress that’s only 2 years old and very comfortable. V-berth has two cabin fans, two cabin lights, and a nightstand with 3 drawers. Storage step at the base of the bed. Two long shelves run along both sides of the bed for even more storage.
The cockpit has a super large bilge with extra lines, fenders, oil, coolant, tools, brushes, buckets, fishing gear, life vests and a lot of other extra sailing gear. Helm has a compass and a plug in for the radio. Raymarine autopilot works perfectly and all lines are good. Propane grill sits under the bimini and there’s one fishing rod holder. There is a swim deck with a ladder for easy access onto the boat on the stern. Boat has two anchors and over 100’ of chain.
8’ fiberglass dinghy is painted blue to match True Blue and is super spacious. Has a large bench and a smaller bench at the driver’s seat. Needs an outboard.
****Things that need work on True Blue****
Coolant shaft leaks some saltwater at the end of a day of engine use. Has been manageable and has been tightened but it could probably use some professional attention eventually.
As stated the electric head needs rewiring. It stopped working about 4 months ago.
Anchor light also needs rewiring.
She would benefit from a haul out and bottom paint job. I have the boat scraped monthly but it is down to its barrier coat and will sail even faster when repainted.
Love this boat and it was amazing as a liveaboard sailboat. Easy to learn to sail on and perfect for exploring the amazing Florida Keys and Caribbean. Relocating and sadly have to sell. Asking $8,000 OBO.
