Our casual dining establishment is in search of a Kitchen Manager to take over the operations of our kitchen staff. The successful candidate will have culinary and management experience. We’re looking for a creative, motivating professional who doesn’t mind contributing to prep work or running food when necessary, but who won’t be afraid to delegate. You will report to the General Manager and have the opportunity to hire and train staff as well as develop menu offerings.
The responsibilities of the Kitchen Manager include:
Ordering supplies, food and ingredients.
Hiring and training kitchen staff in specific stations, and cross-training as necessary.
Creating schedules for kitchen staff to ensure there are always enough workers to meet the demand, particularly for the lunch rush.
Maintaining inventory levels and conducting weekly and monthly inventory counts.
Scheduling and overseeing necessary maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances.
Developing menu changes and adjustments based on seasonal availability.
Responding personally to guest questions and complaints.
